Welcome to TypeCraft
Just like you we are linguists and other professionals, working on the documentation of languages. We use this site to share annotated language paradigms, and knowledge about languages, and language theory. We want TypeCraft because we want an electronic tool that helps us perform two of the most elementary tasks in language research; the storage and the retrieval of natural language data, valuable for our own and the research of others, and the creation of blogs, alone, or together with our research group, so that we can present ongoing work, as well as our research result 'already yesterday' online.
Here the two modules of TypeCraft:
The TypeCraft natural language database which features an annotation interface in tabular form
- TypeCraft allows members to import written text.
- It features automatic sentence break-up and helps you prepare your text for text annotation
- TypeCraft has a drop-down-style reference lists, composed of widely used linguistic symbols for word and construction level annotation to facilitate manual annotation
The TypeCraft wiki
The TypeCraft wiki is a TypeCraft internal knowledge sharing facility, designed to allow exchange of information between individuals and projects and easy access to background information. Important features are:
- safe-guarding of private data in several different work spaces.
- easy integration of database information into the wiki
- export of annotated natural language data to Microsoft Word and Latex as well as export of XML for further processing
