Hi Hannes,

what does GILLBT do. Might be nice to start an extra page for it, or include more information about it on your user page. That should be interesting. :)

Hello Dorothee

It is only as of now I see your question. GILLBT - the Ghana Institute of Linguistics, Literacy and Bible Translation - started out 50 years ago as SIL affiliated to the University of Ghana. Later one it was called 'GIL' (Ghana Institute of Linguistics) and then GILLBT. The Institute is still affiliated with the University of Ghana. It does what the name says

  • Linguistics (phonologies, orthographies, grammar sketches, dictionaries, ...)
  • Literacy (including language and general development activities)
  • Bible Translation.
