I am a Senior Lecturer at Makerere University and current Chair of the Department of African Languages in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
I hold a PhD, MA, PGDE and BA from Makerere University. My field of specialisation is Luganda (one of the major Ugandan indigenous languages). My areas of interest include Translation, Discourse and Conversation analysis, language pedagogy, Applied Linguistics, Language Description and Documentation.
I attended the first East African Summer School in Language documentation in July 2011 at the university of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where I was introduced to the technologies and methods of language description and documentation.
