Thesis Title: Assessing Vitality of Languages Spoken by Less than 10,000 speakers in India. (The objectives of the study are: to assess and obtain a comparative picture of language vitality of languages spoken by less than 10,000 speakers in India, to apprise their contrasting sociolinguistic situations, and to establish priorities for action: documentation and revitalisation programs. For this purpose primary data is gathered through sociolinguistic fieldwork and secondary data from the Government of India Sources) Supervisor: Padmashree Prof. Anvita Abbi.
