The annotation workflow using the TC2 linguistic editor for Discourse analysis:
+

+
* Divide the text into units (not necessarily phrases).
+
** Unit size may vary, depending on the goals of the analysis.Units may be sentences, but they also could be clauses.
+
* Examine each unit, and its neighbours. Is there a relation holding between them?
+
** If yes, mark that relation using one of the predefined sense tags (e.g., Specification or Condition etc.).
+
** If not, look at the larger context, the unit might be part of a discontinuous larger sense signature.
+

+
What will emerge are ''discourse signatures'' which allow you to compare the discourse structure of texts.

Multi-lingual corpus repository

TC2 is a tool that allows you to create and search annotated texts from lesser documented languages. If you want to search a corpus directly go to the second small box called "TypeCraft Search" in the navigation bar to your left. You can either search for Texts (Text search), or for elements in texts (Phrase search). The TypeCraft wiki offers in addition featured articles related to individual corpora. These are our categories:

In the category: Typological Templates you find tiny sketch grammars for some of the language specific corpora.

In the category: Grammar squib you find short grammar squibs relating to language specific corpora.

The category: Languages offers an overview over the TypeCraft wiki pages ordered by language.

TypeCraft corpora consists mostly of transcribed oral are written narratives and collections of linguistic sentences.
